HAVN Saunas: Wellness through water on water

HAVN (pronounced hah-ven) is a floating spa with saunas, hot and cold pools, and green social spaces. Built on a repurposed 1943 marine vessel, HAVN lives in the historic Ship Point in Victoria’s inner harbour, in the traditional territories of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations.

Inspired by Scandinavian wellness approaches and hydrotherapeutic models from around the world, HAVN creates an opportunity for increased social and mental well-being in an urban center. Our mission is to bring people together in an environment that facilitates their well-being and engages them with their community.

Urban Vitality

We aim to improve physical, mental, and social health by bringing people together in a transitional space between the urban and natural worlds. HAVN’s philosophy is to have an intentional design towards self-reflection and care, ocean engagement, and community connection, and we are striving to create a sense of peace, balance, and inspiration.

Unique People + Community

In collaboration with local creators, Nick Van Buren, the founder, created a project that combines his passion for design, saunas, and community. What was originally a creative art project among creatives, has now evolved into a team of passionate artists and entrepreneurs striving to realize this vision.
